As we explored in our recent Retail whitepaper this sector has been heating up significantly. One company poised to make an impact is Coalescent Mobile Robotics. A Danish start-up founded in 2018, their CEO Clionadh Martin recently sat down to explore the future of retail robotics with InOrbit CEO, and Robot Operations Group co-founder Florian Pestoni in the latest RobOps Masters Interview series.

Today InOrbit announces the release of Data Backfill, adding to our growing list of RobOps tools designed to address specific challenges companies face when managing robot fleets at scale. This is another piece of the puzzle for how to maintain end-to-end observability under even the most demanding conditions, eliminating gaps in collected data by reconstructing a robot’s operating history through offline data saved and backfilled upon reconnection.

Today we sat down with Elvio Aruta. a Release Engineer and QA Automation specialist at InOrbit. He lives in Mendoza, Argentina, and has been with InOrbit for exactly one year.

The configuration of every computing resource can be handled through code, such as scripts and API calls, enabling greater control and more advanced logic. This can then be managed through version control systems such as git, support rollbacks and more granular configuration based on different variables.

Today we sat down with Christopher Yao. Chris is a Sales Development Representative at InOrbit and works closely with sales, marketing, and the customer success teams. He lives in Mountain View, California, and has been with InOrbit for just over two years.

In the Star Wars universe, there is a light side and a dark side (also, just like duct tape). Time and again, we’ve seen cyberattacks, security breaches and shutdowns caused by people exploiting systems that were designed initially to help people.

The Internet was built with a promise of unlimited information available at everyone’s fingertips, a truly egalitarian and noble concept. But along with the good it continues to provide, the Internet spawned dangers such as the dark web, spam, phishing, fake news and disinformation that spreads via social media and other sites.
